Good Morning.
----------------------------------------First, thanks for all of the work getting the applications to work on different devices. Here is the question: Is it possible to upload results without downloading new work? I would use this to plan when I use my laptop for other work. I see that the device Manager can be used to set up, for instance, to allow WCG work just on weekends. My thought is that it would be better to avoid delays - by starting work; letting it complete; and then send back the results - in the shortest time span. I see that BOINC allows this; but, Boinc doesn't have the Fight Aids at Home application yet. An acceptable answer is to wait for the FAAH port to BOINC.... Thanks again, Jay ![]() |

Welcome to the Forums... as someone else said that sounds like some historical Roman greeting
---------------------------------------- There is no way currently to upload a result without automatically downloading new work using the UD Agent as you are. I doubt very seriously that there will ever be a change in that due to the ownership issues.. (UD owns the UD Agent). I am sure that the FAAH will be added to BOINC as soon as the WCG techs can get to it (which should not be long EDIT==> Presumably by the end of January 06 ). Thanks for contributing. It is a great cause. ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by RT at Jan 7, 2006 5:29:46 PM] |

The only volunteers that the WCG uses to my knowledge are the Community Administrators. The duties of the CAs do not include any software activities; we just help with the forums and act as advisors on occasion.
----------------------------------------Again thank you for contributing to longer, healthier and happier lives in the future. |
