Bonjour Christian --
I am sorry that I have to reply in English, but my skills in French are very poor since it has been nearly fifty years since I took French Language classes in school. I believe that you will be seeing the French translations at some point this month. I think the changes are either going through final testing now or will be very soon. I think you can almost be certain that you will be able to read the World Community Grid pages in French very soon. Bonne année, |

salut, si tu veux pour la FAQ on peut s'arranger puisque qu'avec ma team nous l'avons traduis dans sa quasi-totalité.

I have taken a look at your web site and it looks to be quite good. Unfortunately, the position of Community Admin is a volunteer one and we have no official role in the operation of the World Community Grid, so there is no way for me to have the address of your site published on the web site. It also appears that the project team has not been open to having outside assistance in their translation efforts. This is probably due to their desire to keep within their corporate guidelines. As I said in my earlier post, we should see the results of their efforts to provide the information in the French language quite soon -- I am guessing before the end of the month. I hope that they are successful in the effort and that it leads to support in other languages soon after.

The French version is in final testing right now and barring any unforseen problems, will be made public prior to the end of the month.
It is our policy to use our own internal translaters and reviewers. That makes it easier on the support team. If we were to only provide one non-English language version of the site, then we would consider using volunteers to help. However, with the plan of having multiple non-English versions, it's easier on version/content control to do it in-house. BTW, we are not translating the Help/FAQs or the Forums. These will stay in English. |

may I suggest to open then, after the release, a french section in the forum (in fact for each new language added, a new forum )
