Re: ATTENTION: HomeBrewers team members

...before I reinstall the operating system (which will wipe the drive clean).

the MS patch bug strikes again...... seems like a few problems with last weeks patch blitz..

I Hope Bill reads this before nuking his drive - if a Microsoft security patch breaks something on your computer, they will try to fix it with FREE telephone support 24/7. I've had to call them for a previous patch, and it's actually free! (MS giving something away? Amazing)

call (US/Canada 1-866-727-2338) (outside: see page http://support.microsoft.com/gp/securityhome)

Cheers

Re: ATTENTION: HomeBrewers team members

Both the crunching and the brewing is continuing in the background.
BOINC is working out well for me, with extra points coming out for the same runtime as when I was running UD.
The beer (formerly known as Pale Ale) has fermented to a very respectable 1012, has dropped clear, and will be going into a keg tonight. Despite the amount of hops which I used, the Wyeast 1728 Scottish Ale has really mellowed the bitterness and has left the brew very scottish ale like. I am sure that if I had used a US56 equivalent I would have been happy to call this a pale ale, but no more. It was just a bitsa brew, really to see if the yeast would work, and I am very happy with the results.
If you are looking to come over for a beer..... Australia is the big island just below Indonesia, you can find me in the city of Brisbane. :)

Re: ATTENTION: HomeBrewers team members

It is before 11am here and thinking about it still makes me thirsty.... do I have a problem?

At least with the kegging system, I can carbonate it and drink it within an hour or so if I feel the urge.... not like waiting a few weeks for the bottles to carb up.
