Bob --

Thanks for responding to Dave's humor (?)!!! I'll field the Stranger item. You will become a "Newbie" after 20 posts to the forums. The rank structure is explained here. There have been a lot of requests that this structure be changed, but there has been no action in that direction yet. It doesn't make sense, but there are folks who have been with the WCG since it was born that still have the "Stranger" tag. As you can see, the tags really don't have much meaning. You certainly are no stranger to the team. Dave, Graham and I probably should have a tag that indicates that we talk way too much -- LOL

Phew

Thanks Bob

It's safe to walk the Team Thread again until this time next year

peace

I read the other day that Christmas Crackers were just a UK thing for Christmas this can't be true, can it?

Maybe you are sitting there thinking Christmas Crackers? What is the mad english fool going on about?

If this is the case, please, for ongoing peaceful international relations let me know.

Thinking about it maybe it is only us Brits who would wear daft party hats at Christmas. It's a standard UK Christmas ritual to look gormless in a crown shaped coloured tissue paper "hat" that has been delivered from the inside of a Christmas Cracker along with obligatory pyrotechnic "crack" noise and smell of Gunpowder. As you sit there looking stupid in your hat you get to deliver with your best comedy timing the lousy joke that is also rolled up inside hence the appalling "jokes" I've added to this thread - someone actually gets paid for writing these things biggrin

They say humour doesn't travel - they might just have a point

I'm glad I was asleep and didn't have to suffer Dave's cracker jokes tongue

Be interesting to find out if us Brits are the only ones who have crackers and silly party hats at Christmas . . . .

Big VAIO --

I think both are unique for Christmas over your way. I don't know of any occasion for what you call crackers. Silly party hats seem to come out at New Years parties here.

Graham -- I just thought that Dave was up early for work. I think you and I have the insomnia title sewed up -- LOL. Looking at the forums, I would say that our friend mycrofth would fit right in with us too! I spent the better part of two hours answering a post in one of the brewing forums I participate in tonight. New guy -- got a brewing kit for Christmas and it sounded like he was going to try to brew without reading the instructions. Then I tried to sleep, but was still composing my brewing post. Hopefully, I will sleep when I go back to bed here in a couple minutes.
