Hi,
when will a screen saver or some kind of graphic display of the processing be available for Windows BOINC users? I joined the WCG after I had been using Windows BOINC with SETI and Einstein, and so I have no idea about how the original non-BOINC software looks. Currently both SETI and Einstein have graphic displays of progress/computations and it would be nice if WCG also had this so I and others looking at my computer would have a better idea what it is doing. Hi xyzzy552,
Our current plan, subject to change if more problems arise, is to board FightAIDS@Home for BOINC in late January 2006. So there is no chance before then. How much will be done when it is boarded? I don't know, and I suspect everyone is a bit uncertain.  mycrofth |

Long term the plan is yes - espicially with future projects. We will not have graphics for the Human Proteome Folding project as it would take some time to implement and there are only a couple of more months in the project. We are working to get the FightAIDS@Home project ported to BOINC without graphics at this time. They may be added later - this has not been determined. For future projects, our goal is to provide graphics on BOINC. Kevin |
