I really don't know what happens, but, today, here at Yokohama/Japan (Nov. 21/JST), all the work units processing have been reset at around 1.8%-4.1% processing level and requested for new work units. I am running 2 PCs, I have been experiencing the same phenomena on each of them ?
Anyone knows what is wrong about this ? Ireally did 3 successful computaions so far. But after that, this is interrupting me for further processing contributions. |

It sounds to me like your machine has already processed one unit of work, and is working on the next load of work received. Take my advice, walk away from the machine, and check your statistics at 0600 hours UTC.

I am running 2 PCs, I have been experiencing the same phenomena on each of them ? I have seen the same thing a couple of times now, also on a PC that has already crunched a workunit succesfully. I may add that nothing seems to be send to the server than the new workunit is requested and there are no points added. Did not find a solution yet ![]() |

Hmm, Ive had the same issue. I had 2 PCs running succesfully with 3 WUs each returned. I then hooked up a 3rd PC, but it kept stalling at 1-2% and then started to request a new WU (its an AMD Athlon computer, but donno if thats the problem). I have now disconnected the 3rd PC, but now my laptop (HP Pavillion) is having the same problem. Only my desktop PC is working w/o problems (so far).
Wierd... Cant rly be server problems hence the desktop works fine. |

Thanks everybody for your messages.
Well, right now, I got another reset. I have noticed that this symptom is the same as the one raised as " Today's Proteins: Hosed?" by author NoEcho. By the way, both of my PCs are Laptop ones. In total, I have experienced enough resets during this continuous 19 hours , I gave up my contributions for today. Again thanks. |

Sounds like this is hitting a whole lot of people. I've been on this endless loop for 24 hours now.
I assume the IBM techs are aware of it and working on the problem. I'm just going to be patient for a couple of days to see if the issue is resolved. |

Hello from Russia.
----------------------------------------I have the same problem the whole day today . Lost count of resetted units.. 4 times I think (have a log from UD Monitor) The units _were not_ sent back. I checked the firewall logs. I wonder where all the admins are hiding. There are several similar theads throught the forum. I wonder where is the link to look for "bookmarked" threads. I marked my favorites.. Regards, Artyom P.S. While 2 of mine 3 pcs are still crunching "good" WUs, I think I will switch this one to F@H till the problem is over.. cause almost two days are lost on these broken units. Yeap, another one here.
Have 2 PCs running, this ones reset at least 20odd times. Both are P4 desktops, was crunching those protiens pretty quickly but now it's not going past 1-2%. Was going to hook up my main desktop and see how the A64 compared, but guess I'll wait a couple days to see if this stops. |
