cool Re: FightCancer@Home Project?

Also you can have a look at the FreeDC forum for more indepth discussion of each project and its activities: http://thedczone.com/phpbb2/index.php

From what I know grid.org and parabon computation are using virtual screening to study cancer. WCG will be using virtual screening to target cancer proteins starting early next year using AutoDock. Rosetta@Home is currently improving the software Rosetta and will be studying cancer proteins some time in the future. F@H has looked at the folding pathway of some cancer proteins such as the p53.

Happy DCing

Re: FightCancer@Home Project?

my cousin just downloaded from grid.org and got cancer research.

They are out of cancer units, well they were when I left there about a month ago, doesn't mean they weren't sending units out though, they've been reusing old units that have already been completed for months. Complete waste of cpu power really.

Right, grid.org cancer project is (some months ago but i don't think the situation is changed) useless, they are re-sending old WU...

Re: FightCancer@Home Project?

grid.org has been resending old cancer units since June 10, 2005. Keep reading their weeky status reports since then. The last batch attempted did not work, and Oxford is still working on the new data.
