Hi,
I want to continue distributing the WCG agent to many employees in my company, but before I can do that…. I don’t mind the CPU usage since everyone here will probably run it as a screen saver, but I would like to know about the agent network activity. I’m guessing the agent connects to the WCG server just for a few minutes after work unit is done (every few hours), in order to get updates and more work units, right? Note that if I’m wrong, and the network activity is constant - the system admin guys in my company will hang me. |

The only connection time required is when the agent completes a work unit and requires a connection to upload the results to the servers and at the same time, obtain a new work unit This time frame is usually around 2 to 4 minutes per work unit [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Dec 12, 2005 10:57:38 PM] |
