A few problems with the WCG software

well,

lately, the only way the software worked was to run it a s a screensaver.
The non-screensaver mode showed no progress over time or VERY slow progress.

Re-installing the program fixed it but it's something the programmers might want to keep an eye out for.

Also, a "throttle" feature accesible from inside the program is a must, IMO. I think one should not have to deal with "arcane" features of Windows for this thing not to run @ 100& of CPU...

mmm

If you were seeing very slow progress on an HPF work unit, that was because a few very large work units have been out there recently. I had one that lasted just over 100 hours on my old P3 system. Your re-install probably fixed nothing -- it just got you a different work unit.
