After inactivity on that device for two weeks, you will not see it anymore on the device list.
----------------------------------------It used to bother me but I have become accustomed to it and I must have a string of 30 or more devices when I actually only have 14 working. I am told that it is done this way to ensure integrity of the database. Actually, I think the techs have their priorities right spending their time on boarding new projects (like FAAH), providing the newer agent (BOINC) and things like that. Perhaps someday they will "fix" this because some are annoyed by it. I would not bet on it though. |

maybe the techs could make the adjustment.
so when you look at yours or other stats it should list the active devices and not just total devices. |

Hello shadowvibe,
?? You only see devices that have returned results in the last 2 weeks (or have been installed in the last week) unless you adjust your settings using the drop down menus. But there is a device count that tells you how many historical device installations you will see if you do adjust your setting. mycrofth |

I agree - it would be nice to show something like the retired members of the team, where we can tag dead devices. That way you get a better comparison of other users at your level of computing (on the # nodes basis, not CPU horsepower). It will also provide a better picture of the active community, not just some useless number that represents everything that has downloaded since the beginning of time.
Just a thought... |

Hello hechlerg,
Back in ?Aug/Sep? bbover3 said that they would decide what changes to make in the stats about registered users / registered device installations after the end of the year crunch. So many things are piled up I do not know just when the current crush will be over. But it is on the list. It's just that it is buried under piles and piles. mycrofth |

maybe the techs could make the adjustment. As mycrofth mentioned, we are formulating a plan to eliminate duplicate/inactive devices and will consider doing the same with members as well. So, for now, you're stuck with duplicate devices, but it won't be that way forever. |
