Newbie testing

Newbee just testing how to add images:

HomeBrewers Team

I'm building a new website which includes a page plugging World Community Grid; I know that it is very amateurish, but eventually as I get more time, I'll improve upon it. If anyone is interested, it is here:
HomeBrewer Team

Cheers,

Looks delicious! It is just what I would like to have supporting me while I do website work! So I would say that either Website Support or Chat are good choices. (I tend to use Chat for anything I classify as 'Miscellaneous'.)

Re: Newbie testing

Why should my post be in the 'Team Forum'? I've visited there, and just about all that is there are a bunch of posts by team members trying to recruit new team members. I do my recruiting among people who are not already doing grid computing -- bringing in fresh blood for the good of the world. Anyway, my post concerns how to insert .gif images into a post, which I would think would be much more analagous to coding a website than it would be to team promotion or dialogue between team members, and was for the purpose of asking some follow-up questions if the answers didn't become self-evident from the first post.

Along those lines, I have noticed that some of the animated .gifs work when I first view the page which lists threads, but they execute for only one cycle. Is there anyway to keep them working? Or do you think it might just be a setting on my own browser (I actually doubt the last thought because I can view my anitmated icons forever, as far as I can tell.

Thanks for any help.

Thanks. I just posted my question in Chat. Also, despite your agreement that 'Website Support' is a good choice for my questions, I finally realized -- duhhhhh -- that it is no doubt support for the WCG website rather than everyone else's website. Sorry, 'retsof'; I think you were right. I'm new and still finding my way around.

Cheers,

Bill --

You probably should take a look at the forum rules here. They have evolved over the past year and knowing them might prove helpful in understanding how and where to post.

Best regards,

In the future, threads such as this do belong in the Teams forum.

I'm going to lock this one to avoid any more confusion. You can start a new one in the Teams forum if you like.
