Rosetta Captures IE?

I am on my third work unit and have noticed an increasing propensity for rosetta.exe to use up the computer memory entirely...and NOT at lowest-priority execution! I have had several lockups while surfing with IE and while using my word processor. I have seen other posts in which you have asked for a screen-capture when this happens... Here is an example... I was HERE on the worldcommunitygrid.org website, trying to get to the Forum Index.... when my IE went white-screen while loading the page. I did a quick Control-Alt-Delete to see what was going on... and rosetta was using 98% of the memory!

I have the screen capture in a .jpg format... and it even shows the URL for the Forum Index page, so you can see that it even occured while using nothing but Rosetta and the IE window that opens when I cliked on the "Learn More About This Project" link on the Main Window.

Where can I email this pic? Just wantin' to help... I think this is a great effort and a remarkable experience for all who have volunteered to use their computer free-time.

Re: Rosetta Captures IE?

I had simmilar problems ...
Very strangely, it only happened when i opened an email in my hotmail inbox. It happended five times in 2 days, and only when rosetta was running. Never happened on any other page ...
Weird ...

Re: Rosetta Captures IE?

Rosetta was running your cpu at 98% NOT using 98% of your memory,BIG difference. Sometimes it will take a few seconds for the processor to find a stop point and return the system to you. If you find this is a proplem then download "THREADMASTER" wich will limit Rosetta to about 20%. Keep in mind that doing this will make your work unit take 5 times longer to complete. Also running that pretty folding picture takes away about 20% of the cpu.
