64 bit computting ?

Hi All! I might be trading my XP chip for an AMD 64 bit platform. Does this change in bit rate affect my grid client? I have NO knowleds of 64 bit comouters yet :(

It won't make any difference.
In future you may benefit, if a 64 client is released.

Hi Neil12345,
I think that the Athlon 64 architecture runs the same code much faster than the Athlon XP architecture. I read a claim that recompiling a floating-point program to use the special 64-bit instructions/registers gave an additional 10% - 15% speed increase but even sticking to 32-bit Windows the Athlon 64 is a very fast architecture.

Disclaimer: All speeds depend on specific chip models, etc.
