Re: difference between WCG points and Boinc credit

Hello Julian Ellis,
Some history first. We have been running the United Devices UD.exe for a year with its point calculation method. Now we are starting BOINC with a different point calculation method. We will have an all-BOINC results page up soon but our first quick method of implemention is just to multiply BOINC points by 7 and add them to the UD point results. The point systems are described here: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=points

It will take even longer before we start exporting the XML Team Stats for BOINC. Boarding FAAH on BOINC is a higher programming priority. But it will all be done eventually.

25 November 2005 - 31 January 2006 is 2 months and 1 week. For my purposes 6 months is soon and I can stretch that till my conscience hurts.

If 6 months is soon, then I can assure you that the BOINC results page will be available very soon. biggrin

I agree that 6 months is pretty "soon" for anything that requires computer programming in a corporate environment. wink
