Website Traffic

I've read the post in the Known Issues Forum about problems accessing the website because of increased traffic. Is this increase a result of some publicity campaign or other event, or is it just a healthy, steady growth of interest in WCG?

Either way it sounds like good news for us.

David.

Re: Website Traffic

There was a media event surrounding the launch of the FightAIDS@Home project (do a search on google news for World Community Grid and you will see a bunch of articles).

We are also in the process of sending a newsletter to all members and that has brought some people back to the website and program. I am very excited to see that we had a record breaking day in terms of runtime on a major holiday in the United States. Normally we see a big drop on major US holidays - I'm excited to see what happens on monday next week.
