Re: WU Processing order - can it be specified?

Specifically, I wish to have the processing done such that each WU [Work Unit] chosen for processing is based on the due date that is closest to "today"
To create a visual listing for that desired sequence:
1) Select DEADLINE column in BOINC Manager TASKS screen
2) Sort that column in ascending order such that the earliest date is at the top.
3) That listing displays my desired Processing Order.

Apparent default processing order:
At the present, it appears that the "Which WU to process next" is based on the date/time the WU was fully downloaded on my computer. And the follow-on which WU to process next uses that same date/time data field for that information.

The basic question:
If possible, how do I get my desired processing order to happen?

Re: WU Processing order - can it be specified?

This is weird. On all my computers the processing order is the order of deadlines. If I get a resend which has a shorter deadline it pretty much jumps ahead of the queue and will get started as soon as a thread opens up.

In principle this is possible by running the tasks in 'High Priority'.
Negative side-effect: You maybe would load too many tasks that could not finish before their deadlines, so you have to control that in a different way.
