Re: WCG migration to a new environment finally complete

Is it really that much of a boost to your self-confidence when you show the world, repeatedly, that you can count? It comes across as a bit puerlle, IMHO.

Counting is not that hard - keeping focus and perspective on a dumpster fire is harder.

Can we push for 2 months of downtime? Almost there - Day 60.

Counting would be ok, if there was no progress.. There is progress.. So its just degrading .

Everyone, including the researchers, are aware of how long normal operations have been down. Your daily count post does not contribute to getting the projects back up. If you want to help, run whatever work you can get and report any unusual results.

Re: WCG migration to a new environment finally complete

Not sure where the correct place to report this is, but the recent batch of MCM1 tests have an odd listing in my results page:

https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/contribution/results

For example:

https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/contribution/workunit/765438271

shows CPU time/Elapsed time of 2.26 / 2.44 and 2.41 / 2.45 for the two results that have run it, but if you look at the work log (click on the Valid link) then the actual CPU time is 8136s and 8660s.

Ah!!!! Just noticed that it's probably reporting the time in hours!

Re: WCG migration to a new environment finally complete

As some others have reported, I also have some regular MCM tasks this morning (not the 999999 test batch). I also just picked up a beta task for Mapping Arthritis Markers. While these are all resends (_2 at end of task name), I'll call it progress!

Also seeing some non-test batch work, albeit resends (but that is still great news).
