Sooo for some reason WCGrid_Rosetta is running 50% and UD.EXE is running 50% also...is something wrong or did I miss the "HEY IT'S SMP!" post? lol
It seems to be executing ok. I ended the processes and started it back up again...and still 100% executing? It's running the protene right now, it WAS doing the AIDS, I didn't check the cpu usage on that though, I just knowticed this. |

Hello Chase Wright,
I am puzzled. If you are running BOINC,either the Linux or the Windows version will run Rosetta on both cores. But if you are running our UD.exe process on Windows, then you should only be running Rosetta on one core (ie 50%). There are 3 ways to run Rosetta now. mycrofth |

Well I'm puzzled too, I restarted my computer and had some strange problems with Alcohol 120% going on at the time, I think something was wrong because after fixing my Alcohol 120% problem and a few restarts it's back to 50% usage...straaaaannnnggggeeeee

Hi Chase Wright
----------------------------------------I think the UD.exe only comes to the fore if you are watching the pretty whirling molecule thingy. With 2 cores that would go some way to explaining what you were seeing. You are the first person I've not been able to say that just the plain home screen or better still minimised makes best use of your processor for the WCG. Still looking for a good excuse to go X2 at this end. Mrs Autumns would never buy the Whirling Molecule excuse Happy Crunching Dave |

Good thinking, David.
Yes X2 is good for 3D screensavers, virus scans, etc. I should have thought of the screen saver. mycrofth |
