Paul Schlaffer:
----------------------------------------This assumes of course that the researchers will read the feedback from the beta testers (and they really should). They do, Paul, undoubtedly. See https://www.cs.toronto.edu/~juris/jlab/wcg.html: "Unfortunately, these batches revealed multiple issues and in some cases exploded the runtime as many volunteers have reported in the forums." They may have their reasons to keep their statements there, all in one place, instead of us members making a mess of it on the forums, scattering several unnecessary threads across the board. If you want real neat and tidy threads, maybe we really should have a moderator here. To keep it on topic, I've just returned 13 BETA-tasks that ran for 25 to 34 hours from batches 9800028 - *00030 and there are two more running in batch *00010 that are halfway now with an estimated total runtime of five days. Two days of run time so far over 13 units on my primary workstation. 6/13 are now progressed past .5%, however all are under 1%. The ones progressing are all the 98000012_XXX_X units.
----------------------------------------I'll be letting all run until their natural conclusion. There's another 24 hours until they deadline out.

I had about a dozen BETA MAMs with unreal completion times of 140+ days on an overclocked i9. I aborted them and was punished with no new work units for MCM. Was I supposed to waste processor time on the BETAs?

Just to note,
----------------------------------------The 9800026 series is not check-pointing. The 9800012 series does not survive a reboot.

It does help, Ralf, thank you! It feels like some compassion anyway.
