Based on the information you furnished, it is unlikely we can help other than a wild guess. I assume you mean your entire system quit running. That being the case, my guess is that your system got too hot. Is it a windows PC? Is it XP? Is it Intel or AMD? How long after you start WCG does the system run before it crashes?

Yes post your hardware specs and if you don't have monitoring software then google for Speedfan or Motherboard monitor.
These will give you system temp and voltage readings etc. |

Yes, Motherboard Monitor works perfectly. If your system temperature is too high, try to clean out the heatsink and the fan on the CPU first.
----------------------------------------You can dismount it from the CPU and simply clean it from all the dust. But to be sure if it's this kind of problem we need to know more spec's of your machine like RT and vaio already said. |

I have also had odd goings about on my computer after installing the client. My problem, though, was Windows would not load completely and computer would lock up requiring a cold boot. I tried rebooting several times, normal boot, then Last Known Setting That Worked, and only SafeMode would boot.
----------------------------------------Safe Mode loaded, and after disabling the WCG service, Windows would boot fine. After a reinstall of the WCG program, everything seems to be okay, except now I seem to have started all over on my results. Iis there anyway to carry over the previous results? When I reinstalled WCG, I told it I was a previous user, and looking on the website statistics, I now have two devices with the same name. Gatsby: The devices are numbered and that is the way that they are kept up with .... so the name is irrelevant from a WCG perspective. Now devices cannot be combined so you are stuck with one or the other as your current device. If you indicated that you were an existing user when you reinstalled (which you apparently did) then you will get credit for the work done by both devices (regardless of the fact that they will be kept as two different devices by WCG). Hope this clears thing up a bit. Regards.
