Hello WCG experts,

I've been sharing to WCG projects for several years and have not had any issues. In late September 2024, I quit BOINC and shutdown my computer for a move. On November 4, 2024, I booted up the computer and started BOINC and left it to retrieve and process tasks as in the past. Several days later, I found only one task. I checked and changed the default presence to more than 0.2 days work. Thet seemed strange as I wondered what happened to my previous BOINC prefer

ences? Anyway, increasing the allowable amount of tasks did start a bunch of tasks. The next day, the status of all the tasks was "downloading" with some stuck at 11.37% and the rest at 0%. Hmm…next day, no change. I aborted all the tasks. Received a new batch of tasks only for the downloads to start and within seconds, the status would change to "in progress, retry in x seconds. I read a few other recent threads with similar issues with user responses stating this is a server side issue that has been ongoing for a while, especially with the ARP tasks. I did note ARP as a task that was with my preferences to download if there were no tasks for my preferred projects. So, I opted out of that. I have not received any notification from WCG for at least a year, (Before the change, I used to get monthly communications.) If this is a server issue, it would help if WCG would communicate that to donors. Generally, when I think issues are my fault, so I spend (waste) time troubleshooting.. I could use my network for useful purposes while WCG works out their problem(s).

If what I described above is not related to the server, then i would appreciate any advice. Thank you.
