hello

Hello everyone! I recently came across the World Community Grid and was intrigued by how it allows people to contribute to scientific research just by donating their computer's processing power. Has anyone here joined a project, and if so, how was your experience with the setup and impact tracking? I'd love to hear more about which projects are currently active and any tips for getting the most out of the platform!

Re: hello

Take a look at the posts on the forums... The little squares are "badges" saying which projects and how much time from our computers we have donated to each project.

Download the Boinc software and star with MCM for your project. You can read about the different projects under the research tab

Re: hello

Currently there is only Mapping Cancer Markers (MCM1) active.

African Rainfall Project (ARP1) is paused at the moment but likely to be back in January.

WCG will be revamping their systems from 9 December unntil the New Year.
