I got a new computer. Downloaded the Boinic software. I received 20 MCM work units to fill up 14 cores/treads (for over 8 years my reconditioned computers could only support 4 cores at a time!). When I go to the WCG Device management page it does not show my new computer. Is registration complete upon WU completion and upload? Or did I miss a step?

Missing Devices in My Contribution See also Recent threads Thanks.Paul My year as a WCG exile over on Rosetta shielded me from this ongoing problem. I have updated my default profile to suck in everything but MCM and Open Pandemic. In 10 min I should see if I get unneeded MCM credit. If the other projects produce work I will be ready to crunch. Paul... I at least got credit for last nights crunching. THe results table shows the name of my new computer & valid credit and or Pending Valid. THe device table still does not have the computer. Since I modified the default device profile to focus on the projects I want. I am ready Thanks again  |
