Might be a little trouble on the horizon. All of my queues are falling short of being filled. I will see how they are doing in the morning. Hopefully it is only a temporary blip. Seems pretty normal here. I get what I need, and when I need it.Cheers I haven't noticed any major disruptions in work supply, but the db-purge daemon appeared to be off the air from about 12:30 UTC on 2024-06-15 to about the same time on 2024-06-16... 24-hour outages to either purge or file-deletion services seem to happen once or twice a month; as another example, the file delete daemons disappeared [again] for 24 hours from about 12:30 UTC on 2024-05-31, but I didn't bother to note that here as it would have very little obvious impact on the rate at which validated work units got cleared away (unless db-purge went away around the same time!) I [still] don't know whether these outages are planned or just a case of a "restart" process not succeeding for some other reason. I suppose it is possible that there might also be times when the background tasks that produce new work units ready for the feeder miss a beat (planned or otherwise!...) Cheers - Al. It seems to have recovered almost 100%. Two of my queues are staying almost full, so there has not been a slowdown in my processing, but they remain a a few short. I also noticed the amount of work units processed on June 15 was slightly down from the recent days. It does look to be on track for June 16, so there might have been a slight feeder issue.

I'm wondering why there are so many recently active users when the system has been down for 10 hours and up for 5 hours since about 2024-06-19 06:43:
----------------------------------------There are 22605 Recently Active Users (22603 Guests, 2 Members ) (see https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/index)Adri (Edited to add that the time is in UTC, of course.) [Edit 1 times, last edit by adriverhoef at Jun 19, 2024 9:31:42 AM] |
