Re: ARP restart update

Yes, thanks for the update TigerLily.

Hopefully, all will prove positive and we can recommence this project - hopefully, seeing it's completion in the 'not too distant future' biggrin

Re: ARP restart update

Hi all,

We shared the estimate that the 5 TB would be downloaded by the end of the weekend based on the projected time it would take to download the 500 GB archive. Since it was projected to take ~7 hours to download the 500 GB archive, we predicted it would take ~3 days for 5 TB. The tech team has confirmed that the download completed over the weekend, totalling just over 78 hours. They will be able to update tomorrow on whether the contents of these archives are sufficient to restart. If so, they will begin testing tomorrow.
How is it going with the ARP release, and the promised update? No ARP work so far, that I can see. The MCM "waiting to be sent" issue is back though, with a vengeance....

Re: ARP restart update

Hi Grumpy Swede,

I received an update from the tech team that we have found all the files we believe we need to properly support the restart. The last files from the larger 5TB tar archive are still being extracted but we expect that this will finish today. Testing should begin this afternoon or tonight and we should be able to provide an update on the result tomorrow.

Thank you TigerLily, for the update.

A suggestion is that you use Beta for the testing and not only test on a few of your internal systems. With Beta, you will be able to test on many different computer types, and Operating Systems. If you just test it internally, you will never catch all eventual issues, and then after the release, such issues will come back an bite you hard.
