In order to effectively function as a team captain there is need to be able to communicate with team members.
Though MOST of my team members are known to me, it happens that one person just joined my team that I cannot identify. Surely the team captain should be able to obtain at least the e-mail address of team members? |

Fully agree, except revealing the email should be enabled by the member.
The team captain should be able to communicate with his members using email, but the member should first accept it. In the profile, there is an "Information" check box to authorize email communication by WCG, another box should be added to allow communication from the team captain. This box should be in the profile, and should also be presented just above the "join this team" button. the default value for this box should be either disabled, or set the same as the "information" field. The use of a robust, open source mail list program such as MailMan would be a great tool for team captains ... |

that would be great for our team if we could contact the members.
i am on AMD Users a team which does most DC projects and about 10 of us joined from it. now being live for a few days we have 40ish members - but we dont know half of them. (-- if any AMD Users member is reading this check out our site [www.amdusers.com] and sign up) An e-mail function would be really cool, if it was only to the captain people wouldnt have a problem with that as most teams are friends anyway - if only online. |
