It is interesting comparing the numbers from the different places and trying to figure out what numbers are meaningful or which are garbage. what are signs of a problem to come and what are an echo of plentiful times.
----------------------------------------Some of these stats are WUs going out and some are WUs being returned. No matter as it is the only data we have as a possible glimpse into the workings of the system. [Edit 3 times, last edit by Unixchick at May 27, 2023 2:07:33 PM] |

For information: the data Mike pointed at counts results, not work units :-) so that'll add to the confusion...
For ARP1 and MCM1 (which always have a quorum of 2) it's a reasonable estimator of work units if one recognizes that it'll be an over- count (because of tasks that end up with three verified results instead of two for whatever reason...) However, for OPN1/G and SCC1, it's not so clear-cut... Those applications can validate without a wingman, and there's no way of knowing what proportion of results insisted on a wingman for validation/verification -- dividing the results by two is likely to paint a very inaccurate picture of work units processed. Just aiming for clarity :-) Cheers - Al. |

Captain Boredom strikes again!
----------------------------------------I made another script that picks the output from the previous one, and converts it to an image. So here is an image that updates every hour (1 minute after the hour, and the text generating script) As long as your browser isn't caching it, or something breaks, you should get an images that updates its content every hour, without having to manually copy and paste text. The text script is of course still working as before. https://stuxnode.com/images/wcg.jpg

Maybe it is just my monitor, but magenta on gray just does not show up very well. Either a paler shade of gray or a brighter shade of magenta would make it look more readable. Perhaps it shows up better on your monitor. Cheers

Ah yeah I was a bit unsure about the colors I picked. I thought it looked quite neat, but I didn't consider other monitors, hehe. I'll fiddle around and try other combinations to see what's more readable!
----------------------------------------You may also notice that I have changed the address to the image, to a server I've got with SSL, so the image displays properly in the forum. (It got a little grumpy with old simple http) EDIT: I tried all sorts of funny color combinations, but sadly the text generation in imagemagick is quite crude, so nothing looks right. I settled for a snow white background and steel blue font. How's that?

Anyone want a spreadsheet to forecast their next badge due date?

Mike - Under normal circumstances, I'd think a badge forecasting spreadsheet would be my jam. I don't think WCG is stable enough with WU sending to be able to predict anything right now unfortunately.
