Yes, hundreds of mine have been validated, both Android and PC. A quick look shows that units with wingmen have been validated, but I can't find any that don't have wingmen that have been validated. For what it's worth, I've seen lots of "no wingman" (Adaptive Replication) validations...Pete As at about 20:30 UTC today I'd returned 503 SCC1 results and 450 had validated. Of those. 199 were Adaptive Replication validations and another 84 _0 results were from a new system that had never run SCC1 before so had no back-history, resulting in them all getting a wingman at once. I have only recently received my first SCC1 _0 task for that machine that doesn't have an instant wingman :-) Cheers - Al. |

Doesn't look like we'll be getting any validation today then. Clearly I spoke too soon. Lots of them have now validated! Thank you. ![]() |

Eyeballing my (admittedly small) pool of tasks, it seems to have quite a high proportion of erros and invalids. Is this normal?
Significant in that it cause my Mac's fans to spin up in a way that Openpandemic and African rainwater don't (or didn't in the case of AW) |

Eyeballing my (admittedly small) pool of tasks, it seems to have quite a high proportion of erros and invalids. Is this normal? That's certainly not normal, Ian. You're the first to report this behaviour. EDIT: You might want to check the results of other Mac users with the help of the workunits in which you participated. (Go to your Results, click on a taskname with Error or Invalid and copy the URL if you want to post the result on the forum.) Here's one: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/contribution/results/479076232/log
And here is the group it was in.: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/contribution/workunit/287931589 And here is a mixed bag: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/contribution/workunit/287964474 Not sure what it is denying permission to - Boinc has full disk access...oh, hang on Hmmm. I thought I'd added Boinc to full disk access - maybe that is the issue (not evident on other projects though) |

It seems you've found the problem, Ian.
The error log from your task reads (to recap for future reference): <message> Somehow your boinc client isn't able to run this task because it is lacking some permission. It's possible — or even likely —that more sciences (ARP1, MCM1, OPN1) are involved, since your boinc client runs all assigned WCG sciences, not only SCC1. |

It's weird - OpenPandemic and Africa Water ran fine.
I think this might also be why cancer markers ends up going in a loop. I'll reenable it and test now that the permissions have actually stuck (I'd swear blind I did them when I set up Boinc). |

I'm not familiar with MacOS, but I think there's some application whitelisting (is it called XProtect maybe?) that requires manual whitelisting of each executable before it can be given permission to execute.
----------------------------------------Maybe you can check the config for XProtect, or whatever it's called? For whatever reason, MCM1 and ARP1 have permissions but SCC1 (AutoDock Vina) does not.
