With the membership of the World Community Grid coming from all over the globe, some members have found that statistics do not display properly and are seeing displays that appear with question marks where numeric data would be expected as follows:
Welcome back membername Registered Member Since: ??/??/???? Activity Summary My Accumulated Points: ?,??? Global Accumulated Points: ???,???,??? The problem is that the national language character set on your system to allow the characters of your own language to be displayed correctly is unable to display the characters in the data. With Windows XP Home Edition, in Internet Explorer (it should be similar for other releases of Windows), click on Tools and select Internet Options, you will see a button marked "Languages" under the tab "General". Open the Language Preferece window to see what the setting is for your system. To see the statistics displayed correctly, change the setting to "English (United States) [en-us]". This will allow the statistics to display correctly. Note that you may need to restore the setting to its original value in order to display other web content in your own language properly. |
