Transfers not downloading

crying I have been using BOINC/WCG for may years with my work computer. I got a new home computer in January & loaded BOINC. I have transfers - lots of them - and they keep failing. Norton 360 is set to allow boinc.exe program. There must be some service blocked, with a different name, which is the problem. There's nothing I recognize related to BOINC.

What services/traffic names or IDs could cause this problem?

Re: Transfers not downloading

WCG is currently down due to a hardware failure. See https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,44980 for more details. Nothing to do but wait.

Re: Transfers not downloading

BOINC on WCG is down since March 1st (2nd), and only God knows when it will be back again. There's plenty of threads in this forum that talks about that, as well as WCG's Facebook and Twitter pages.

So, in short: The problem is not on your side. WCG BOINC is dead for everybody.

Re: Transfers not downloading

Back to same issue of OPNG downloads backing off because of contention with other WCG sub-projects hogging download bandwidth.

Re: Transfers not downloading

It's just a matter of being patient(*1). My last transient HTTP error today (18-04-2023) was at 06:55 UTC, that's four (and a half) hours ago.

Yesterday I downloaded 32 ARP1-tasks. It took 3 hours, they all succeeded downloading in the end. Seven of them have finished already.

[*1] Or, perhaps being the impatient type, if you haven't implemented it yet and search the forums, there are plenty of workarounds. devilish
