This could be done by scripts calling BOINCCMD from CRONTAB:. Which would only work on LInux.... wink On Microsoft Windows, cron jobs are known as Scheduled Tasks. They can be added through the Windows Task Scheduler user interface or powershell etc. But in any case, it still would be just a temporary crutch, the problem should be solved at it's source... The option to tell BOINC to not fetch work is the "No new tasks" button in the Commands box in the Projects tab of BOINC's Advanced View. You have to select the projects that you want this to apply to. Then click that button. The button will change to "Allow new tasks" when you have selected one or more projects where all of them have had "No new work" set on them for you to reverse the change. If a mix of projects is selected where some have work fetch disabled and others have work fetch enabled, the button is grayed out.
