There have been a number of messages in the forum concerning the temporary unavailability of OPN work units and a recent message about the scientists on the TB project validating their existing results before they are ready to introduce new ones. Right now MCM is the only game in town. Cheers

Well, I did get 4 "LOO" type MCM1's, 1.5 hours ago for my i7-4790K CPU/Windows 8.1 computer, but they're already crunched, and no replacement MCM1 work since then, only the usual "No tasks are availabe for..."
----------------------------------------Fortunately, I do know how to shut down my computers. ![]() Edit: And of course, a couple of minutes after I wrote that, I got another 4 MCM1 tasks..... [Edit 2 times, last edit by Grumpy Swede at Jan 6, 2023 2:02:48 AM] |

Thank you for your reply chiara.p. This is starting to make more sense to me. It does appear to be better to throttle the work than to have the transmission errors. Things have been running more smoothly with my machines.

I have not experienced throttling since the server maintenance yesterday. My queue is full.

I have not experienced throttling since the server maintenance yesterday. My queue is full. Not for me. My computers ask for work and usually the response is that there is no work. Fortunately, I do have work in all my queues (just not full) by frequent requests and am not running idle cores as I was when this thread was started.Cheers ![]() ![]() |
