I decided to reinstall BOINC after an extended period of downtime with the WCG a while back led me to uninstall it. However, when I reinstalled it, my client's just giving me a message that says "Waiting to Contact Project Servers" and not doing much of anything... I'm only casually interested in BOINC so I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to the technical side of things. Any help would be appreciated.
----------------------------------------EDIT: I still have the problem even if I turn my PC off and on again. [Edit 1 times, last edit by toyhammer98 at Dec 21, 2022 6:59:32 PM] |

You didn't mention what OS you're using, but the first thing I would check is the firewall settings of you machine and to make sure that the BOINC client is allowed to connect to the Internet... I'm using a Windows 10, sorry I didn't mention earlier. My client actually connected right as I was checking the firewall... I couldn't find anything related to BOINC, so thank goodness the issue resolved itself.
