Why not create a WCG project and let the members crunch the backlog of data to fill in the My Contribution statistics between 2/2022 and now? If privacy is an issue, then just let a member crunch their own data.

Probably because there is nothing to be "crunched". It's importing data into the database, likely a day at a time, and the database running it's process. I would wager having a stable system has been the top priority, which is still being worked on.

Why not create a WCG project and let the members crunch the backlog of data to fill in the My Contribution statistics between 2/2022 and now? If privacy is an issue, then just let a member crunch their own data. Well, that would only work if you would have that data readily available. But all the individual data from June 2022, when the first WUs started being send out again, until September 28th, the day before stats processing has resumed has been purged out of the readily available database. There is supposed to be a way that this data can be recreated from some kind of "backup", but that process hasn't been started yet, for all we know. And I am honestly not holding my breath on that one, and until I see even a single day of "backlog" being filled in again, I will continue to assume that this data is being lost (approx. 5 years of runtime for me). And as I mentioned before, I would loved to be proven wrong on this one... Ralf PS: Beside that the efforts to create such a "project" would better be used to solve some of the other outstanding issues, as if the data has been restored, processing it for the stats is probably the smaller problem here. |
