I just installed BOINC on FC4 and everything's fine. I saw a reference to a startup script but can't find it on the site. Also, can someone explain the RPC remote feature and usage?
Thanks! -Steve |

Hay cabito,
first of all welcome to the forum. About you startup script, don't know if you already read this thread: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=4422#34651 The RPC function can be used to utilize a somewhat remote gui or a monitor that can keep up with all your boinc clients. Functions are described here: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/gui_rpc.php A tool that uses them (windows): http://boincview.amanheis.de/ You can find more if you look around in the boinc community Greetings |

I tried to get Boincview to work under wine in Linux. Never could get it to work properly. Finally got the Boinc Manager to monitor all network clients on Linux. Works good once I got it setup.
