Re: WCG's 18th Anniversary

Why am I wasting CPU cycles on a site that can't even keep accurate statistics?

A: The CPU cycles are not wasted.

A: Assuming there's no issue that causes WU to fail, be it validation or something else. Unfortunately that ain't a blue moon thing around here.
B: Assuming I actually have work to crunch. Stuff goes down... a lot. You better keep a queue big enough to avoid downtime, and then you better hope ARP doesn't come back and triggers HTTP error due to server overload, both of which can run your machine dry if you're not micro managing it. And again, this is not a blue moon issue, happens quite frequently nowadays.

While we're at it, WCG statistics have been a joke since inception, so even if the site was to be fixed, the whole system is borken to begin with. So no, Kembril will not fix it, for it is botherline impossible and ultimately irrelevant anyway.
