Greg_BE: After checking your picture I noticed that it doesn't show if it's your default profile. And to me that seems to be important. Why? Well, did you see this? 10/24/2022 8:14:11 PM | World Community Grid | Host location: none 10/24/2022 8:14:11 PM | World Community Grid | General prefs: using your defaults Is that your default profile? Also, Paul's (PMH_UK) advice would be a very good one to follow. In that way you can verify if it worked out well. It is the default profile yes. |

No change is necessary, it worked before with the same parameters. So I went to bed and when I woke up, miracle, the little elves worked well, everything worked again. Saved profile again, at the moment my queue is maxed out. Will check in about 10-11 hours when I get home. |

Saved profile again, at the moment my queue is maxed out. Will check in about 10-11 hours when I get home. You don't have to wait that long. If you hit the Update button (in the Projects tab, between Notices and Tasks in the Advanced View), you should immediately see the effect of saving your profile after the next server contact by checking your Event Log. If your queue is maxed out, BOINC will not ask for CPU tasks from WCG and so you won't receive any CPU tasks from WCG. Still, I find it weird that your host location is 'none'. Loaded up with work now. 2) All settings and entries are default. So I have no idea why host location is none, What location is that data located at? |

Still, I find it weird that your host location is 'none'. 1) The reset worked. Loaded up with work now. 2) All settings and entries are default. So I have no idea why host location is none, That's because you haven't chosen a certain Device Profile. Also, for your peace of mind, it's not necessary if you need simple settings only. What location is that data located at? I don't know if I'm understanding you correctly, but to reach your location 'none', you would go to My Projects (e.g. by clicking My contribution at the top of the page and then clicking Projects; if there's no My contribution at the top of the page, then your screen may be too small, in that case: click the 'hamburger menu' (four small horizontal lines to the left of the text 'World Community Grid' in the upper left corner of the webpage) and a menu will open with Research, About, News, Community, My contribution, etc. and underneath 'My contribution' the options Overview, History, Projects, etc. should be visible, else open 'My contribution' first, then finally click Projects). |

Over in another project, we are talking about things here and one guy is having trouble getting work from ARP. Any idea whats going on with that project? He's go comm errors and also nothing downloading. Being I am not working on ARP, I have no idea what his problems could be. Plus his profile is stuck on school. He can't change it. |

That sounds like a lot of problems. I've also got a device that doesn't show up in Device Management, no matter what I try on the website, but it does show up returning results in Results (and in the API) and I cannot change its profile (Hey! Maybe this is the same kind of problem that 'your' guy has). There's not much clue from your guy's problem not getting any ARP1-tasks, like e.g. since when are there problems, can we get to see the first 50 lines from the Event Log after starting BOINC? Also, ARP1 seems to come in bursts; the general availability of ARP1-tasks is very low at this moment, so maybe this week or next week we will see new ARP1-tasks. It could be worthwhile to follow the thread Work Available in the forum Africa Rainfall Project here. Also, many times when a new 'burst' is released, there are lots of download issues in my experience all over the board. Another thing that comes to mind, which is very interesting, is to download - via Account (in the upper right corner of the page) → Profile and settings →(if needed: click hamburger menu → then see 'Settings') → Download data. On that page, 'Download Data', you can download a file called "user_data.xls". That file contains all your Member settings, some info about your Login, all your BOINC Profiles(!), Member Stat Totals, Member Stat Averages, Member Project Stat Totals, Daily Stats, Hosts, Team History and Work (tasks and their results).
