Good Bye

After the gong show that this migration has been, it's time to say good-bye to WCG. Tired of waiting for stability and tired of babysitting stuff.

Good luck to Krembil, you need it!

To all the crunchers, 'enjoy the ride'

Hi Smajowsk, we're sad to see you go. We hope that after the full restart you consider rejoining the community!

The midway point is to leave it active but to stop babysitting it - if it ties itself into a knot then it does nothing and another project runs, when is straightens itself out you’re good to go.

To me, leaving the project when things are improving (slowly and way behind time admittedly) is the extreme end of the spectrum.

Re: Good Bye

Shame that you're leaving now, at the time the system is in the best shape it's been since testing started. I haven't had any issues uploading or downloading since the weekend.

Unfortunately the issue has re-surfaced. Maybe it will be quickly fixed.
Cheers

Doesn't look like it and it is already 9pm in Toronto now, I would not be surprised to get any response or fix until Tuesday morning...

Re: Good Bye

I was told that this is where I should post this in the hope of getting an answer... My original question : My question is will we EVER receive credit for the "Test" crunching our machines did when we restarted around 20 Aug? By checking at BOINC STATS I am owed 5,189,499 WCG points and 3.1 years of crunch time. Will this theft of my electricity continue??

My associated diatribe is : If you do something of value for whatever purpose, It is tested and determined valid. That is the completion of the appointed task. NO ONE SAID that this is a special "super duper donation, without any credit" It is not like ANY money is changing hands other than my power bill. NO "super duper donation, without any credit" WARNING MEANS IT IS A MISSREPRENTATION...I can quit and move on I may not return and any other serious crunchers will be tired of being chumps..... WHERE SHOULD I POST THIS SO THE Keebler boss elves see it!! devilish
