There are several projects that need your computing resources:

Folding@home
Rosetta@home
DENIS@home
SiDOck
TnGrid

These projects always need more participants and do very similar research. Just leave WCG in the background and continue the research on these other projects. That's what BOINC is for, to automatically distribute computing resources to projects that need them with no human intervention. No need to leave your computer idling!
