Are there any moderators? There are numerous duplicate topics, off-topic posts, and general mayhem in the fora. You cannot do this alone, Cyclops.

Thanks for the concern, Vester. The duplicate topics are becoming a bit of an issue which is why today I made an announcement directing users to the WU FAQ. Other team members monitor the forums and answer questions either directly or through larger announcements.

As noted before, all these threads need a note directing them to the FAQ and then have them locked down. A couple of volunteer moderators would help with the chaos.
Actually, someone should post a News item through BOINC and the website directing everyone (whether they are on the forums currently or not) to the forums and a note they don't need to be logged in to read, only if they want to post. |
