I saw this in the Notices tab for World Community Grid (WCG). The text appears in red color:
World Community Grid: Notice from BOINC I removed the old WCG project and Added a new project using the URL above. The Project gets added but the Notice still reappears! How soon will the new URL be the default when adding WCG as a new Project? Advanced View user interaction details: Projects tab > Remove button to remove the old project. Then use Tools tab > Add project and typed in the new URL, selected existing username, typed password, so on. |

Ignore the message telling you to change the project URL.

I noticed the same problem. Tried removing the project and adding it again with the https://master.worldcommunitygrid.org/ address, but once I re-add the project and then check the project Properties, the URL still reads as http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/...
So, yeah... That's annoying. |

This is a problem on the server side that unfortunately sends us a message to delete and rejoin.
Do not bother to delete and change URL - DO NOTHING. doing things on your side (client) will not affect the issue they are having on the server side. If you do as the error message says. you will just be wasting your time, as nothing will change. |

What i figured is that the API that delivers the jobs is online. The project does not back off for hours anymore but checks every 15 - 20 minutes for new jobs. Thing is, there are no jobs yet queued up.
BUT we are another step closer to crunching numbers again..... i hope |

It's as if people can't be bothered to read any of those many many threads about this issue. What the heck is wrong with using the Recent Threads before asking the same question that's been asked by now hundreds of times? I just have to SMH ![]() |

Related to this, I removed and re-added the project before I found this thread. The terms that you have to agree to are all still based on the project being affiliated with IBM and all of the terms relate to IBM. It says that any legal disputes will be handled in New York courts in the US.

I had not gone into the program in a while but noticed the change your link before I found this thread today. I am still not getting anything for my computer to work on. Is there still not much work available yet?

Yes, and several posters here, have said the same, in many threads, many many times. It's as if people can't be bothered to read any of those many many threads about this issue. I know, it's weird, right? It's like people only go to the thread that appears most relevant to their question rather than taking a lot more time to scour multiple threads for potentially relevant snippets of info. Sheesh... people these days. What's the world coming to? ![]() |
