I saw that my current streak is 0.
----------------------------------------Strange, since i haven't missed a single day. Are streaks preserved or not? Not a huge deal, just wondering. And will the active research projects give an update on where they are now? After 4 months(and counting) most of us would like to know that and how the immediate future will look like for them. Streaks are preserved in our database but will be visible on the forum once BOINC restarts. We will provide project updates soon, so stay tuned for them. |

That "Streak" stat is pretty much useless anyway, it would be a continuous counter for everyone but some rare occasional crunchers...

I thought that they were going to maintain the streak as current rather than archiving the existing streak.

It will come back as current streak again +1 or 2 days. It's done like this many times during this test. One day it shows zero, and another day it shows the correct number, So current streak will be counted up from 309 again, and then go down to zero again, the next day. Rinse and repeat.
Have you really missed that behaviour during this test run? |

Streak is probably my least favourite item, so I hadn't noticed it.
I guess they are waiting for the full restart to link the streak. |

They can't turn the streak and other stats back on until they are ready to be done with testing. They need to have a reliable and steady stream of WUs to hand out before they turn all the stats back on.
How upset would someone be if streaks are important to them and they tried to get WUs but couldn't get any and thus the streak was gone.?? WCG has made some visible progress lately between ARPs downloading without errors, and profiles being fixed. I have no idea what is next in their list of errors to fix before going live, but the sleuths on the forums can see some of the changes happening. It is all very encouraging. |
