I am so far behind in completing WCG work units (since I have not received any in four months or so), that my BOINC will not try to download anything else because it is desperately looking for WCG work units. So I must set WCG to Get No New Tasks in order to get the BOINC client to download anything else. Sorry, but that is nonsense. Leave the WCG settings alone, just add a temporary project to run instead of WCG for the mean time, and when WU are gioing to be available again, BOINC will automatically start downloading them. Then you can just disable/"run empty" the alternate project and all will be back to before the switch/outage. At least that is the plan, and should just work, unless something else gets seriously borked. But overall, the new Krembil WCG team could be a little bit more responsive regarding updates... Ralf  |

Any news about the restart of the project itself? We are again a week later now, when will the announcement of the restart be made?

Well, the main page proudly says
System migration completed which is not the case as long as there are no WUs sent out and received (which is the main reason why we all here on this forum).  |

The IBM devs use to work weekends to keep the work flowing. Krembil devs should be unpaid students the way they waste time and our good will. If they were paid and I was in charge they would all be looking for new jobs.

Perhaps at some time the Krembil Krew will enlighten us to all the troubles they are having getting this back up and running. Until then: patience. Cheers

People are trying to be patient, but long periods of no communication and a failure to properly communicate status(even after multiple threads on the same subject)...
Still wondering why they aren't using their PA person they announced about... |
