Getting Started

Good Day, I just joined WCG, and have my account key.
I tried as was suggested on the page that has my info , for the initial connection, via command line.
This is what I got "peterhin@GNULinux01 :~/BOINC$ -attach_project
bash: -attach_project: command not found"
I also had the key after the -attach_project.
I am sure that I am making a very basic mistake here. Could someone help me with this Please.

Re: Getting Started

when attempting to run the boinc command, it appears you forget to add the program name before -attach_project.

Please try after the $ of course:

./boinc -attach_project http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org <key>

Where <key> should be replaced with the 32 character account key given to you and located in your profile.

Try this, and tell us if it's a success or not.

Re: Getting Started

OK, Thanks that seems to have got things going. I thought I did that initially, but maybe I was just thinking it.
