"There is already another instance of Grid Client running"

the program's in the startup menu only once. however, it persistently keeps popping up with that error upon logging in.

this is on windows xp sp2.

I have this same problem.... only solution I have found so far is to remove it from startup and start it manually after the login process is complete. Need ideas! Can find no mention of this problem anywhere else.... TIA

In no particular order:
A) Do you have a copy of UD running from http://www.grid.org ?
B) Could you tell us more about your computer and OS?
C) What does Task Manager show after startup before you manually start the WCG Agent? Are there any processes running that begin with ud or wcg?
