Re: Quit shutting down contributor discussions!

they put the nanny filter on anyone who has legitimate criticism. i guess they never bother taking it off.

Re: Quit shutting down contributor discussions!

mine's been on for like 6 months lol. but they still keep approving my posts. so obviously I'm not violating any guidelines. must be tiring for them to have to approve every one.

Re: Quit shutting down contributor discussions!

Isn't that the new normal today? Cancel. Delete. No tolerance. Political correctness. The last two have different meaning to different people. Someone somewhere will be offended by whatever you say.

It would be nice to know what the "offence" was just so the general population (me) can make up its (my) mind. That's not going to happen.

Unless there is swearing, profanity, or a personal attack of which ever kind I can see no offence. I don't see the swearing part. I takes longer to write and really adds zero emphasis... less than zero.

Someone who has legitimate criticism should not be cancelled. Any criticism is legit just maybe not justified. If those making that call are not able to see that then they should leave it to those who can.

My 2.54(CAD) cents worth.

I'm sure someone somewhere will find this post offensive.

Indeed - fully agree. Guidelines are described at https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/viewCommPolicy.do

Since it does cost extra effort, it would be much more preferred if all the communication on the forums was relevant and civil.
