More sophisticated and better categories for forums of "completed" projects?
and: List of computational tools ("workers") used on Worldcommunitygrid I think that we could call completed projects more precisely "forums of projects where the computational work on worldcommunitygrid is finished for now" Under this title there could be the following forums: Projects using computational tools that researchers want to use on additional topics (deseases, geographical regions) on Worldcommunitygrid in the future Projects using computational tools that researchers do not want to use on Worldcommuntygrid again in the future. Projects using computational tools that researchers are incertain of their future use Giving examples: The tool that has been used to search for influenca medication might or might not be used for searching a medication for other viruses.... The tool being used for african climate at home might be used for climate studies in other regions of the world...... Benefits of such a new structure of forums: Users of forums have an orientation, which topics are more likely to have a continuation and which are not Researchers are encouraged to think about whether or not to expand certain projects. Additionional idea: It would be good to have a complete list of Computational tools (workers) that have been used on Woldcommunitygrid and are used in the runnig projects. Thank you very much to everybody considering my proposition and giving feedback. |

Hello fellowcrunchers,
I found out only after having written the post above that Worldcommunitygrid moves to Kremblin Institute. Forget about this post for now. Moving to a different institution will consume all ressources for now. I did not want to delete the post, because very generally I still think that paying more attention to "finished" projects would be a good idea, but as I said, not now, when moving. Best MS |
