I didn't see any information on the specs of the supercomputer. Not a supercomputer. Bad reporting by the generalist press. It's a server with two AMD Epyc 7542 processors using 1 TB RAM and a NAS with 510 TB storage. Specs. Here is a video from Dr. Ian Cutress (Anandtech contributor) covering more details and also talking about how many in the media reported it prior to validation which is not a surprise given how many don't understand what a supercomputer is. |

Wow, the big surprise to me is the memory and storage size...using 1 TB RAM and a NAS with 510 TB storage.

Yes, not really a supercomputer. But, btw, what interesting video! He explains his points in a very simple manner easy for the non-scientist to understand.
