Please note that all deadlines have been extended by 1 day, including the resends. They are no longer 50%.

The time due on server is one day later.
The deadline in BOINC Manager is still the same - 7 days e.g.: OPN1_0057448_01269_0 Deadline 28 Jul 08:50:20 Received 21 Jul 08:50:20 |

Data from the WCG servers: $ wcgstats -wqQt2 -aARP1 -m22 -s1 ARP1_0008005_074_2-- Linux Fedora - In Progress 7/21/21 02:41:27 7/25/21 14:41:27 0.00 0.0 / 0.0 Locally: $ wcgresults -NDOSWAP | egrep 'Name|ARP1' (Localtime is Wed 21 Jul 16:03:28 CEST 2021, The Netherlands falls in time zone UTC +2 during daylight saving time, first ARP1 task was received this morning at 04:41:27 (localtime, deadline 3.5 days later), the last two were received later today, deadline in 7 days.) Which deadline is correct? This could catch some people out.

It seems WCG has given all tasks a grace period of 1 day, before a resend is sent out.
----------------------------------------BOINC will use the local deadline and if needed switch high priority tasks to the front of the working queue and will be normal treated by the server when received during the grace period. As always no problem when you don't overfill the cache buffer size. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Crystal Pellet at Jul 21, 2021 8:38:50 PM] |

Just to confirm. In Task Manager, the deadline is shown as normal (3.5, 7, 10 days) but in Results Status there is an extra day added. Re-sends for no reply are using the later date.
This will results in fewer resends being required but will delay the speedy machines getting their credit. Mike |
