Elsewhere on the forum it mentions that the next project will be working on HIV/AIDs, but it has been delayed. It also said that there will be a second part to the human proteome project that we will be working on later. See: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/...thread=3866&offset=20
I also assumed that the big website relaunch was connected with the new project, but obviously not. With all the power the linux users will bring on board, I hope they are getting the HIV/AIDS project ready ASAP so there will be lots to crunch. |

That will be a worthy project to crunch for it is rumoured that Aids@Home may be at some stage coming over to BOINC as well, but that will probally be a long time to come. Look forward to this project moving on into that field.

The website relaunch was for the rollout of the Linux agent. It would not be prudent to try to make several changes all at the same time -- that would be a support nightmare. Please be patient -- all that you are expecting will come. |
